North Northamptonshire Authorities CIL Preliminary Draft Charging Schedules Consultation (Dec 2012) CONSULTATION CLOSED

Within North Northamptonshire the four local authorities of, Corby, East Northamptonshire, Kettering and Wellingborough, have been considering the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL). The CIL is a charge that Local Authorities can choose to adopt to assist in funding infrastructure in their area. It is likely to become an important source of funding for infrastructure and services.

The four authorities have not formally decided to introduce the CIL but are undertaking the necessary preparatory work. The first stage is to determine what developments can afford to contribute towards the infrastructure and services needed to support the development of the area. The results of the viability study informs the first consultation stage on the Preliminary Draft Charging Schedule (PDCS).

The consultation period for all four authorities on their individual PDCSs will ran from Friday 9th November through to 5pm Friday 21st December 2012. This was the first of two stages of formal public consultation. The PDCS documents, found using the links below, provide details about CIL and the proposed charging rates. We are sought views on these rates and specific consultation questions on these rates and other aspects of CIL which are included in the PDCS documents.

Please note there are a number of supporting documents, including the viability studies and draft infrastructure schedules, which should be read alongside the PDCS. These can be accessed from the links below.
